Bargaining update — week 3: wages and COLA on the table

Session 9 recap for those who missed the hall meeting: the company moved off their opening wage number — not far enough, but they moved. **COLA is the fight.** They want a cap; your committee's position is the CPI-W index, uncapped, as ratified. Healthcare co-pays: firm at current structure, no givebacks. Next session Thursday. Wear red Wednesday — they count the shirts in the parking lot, believe me.

They moved because 287 of us packed the hall. Keep the pressure visible on the floor.

Exactly right. Solidarity is the only line item they cannot cost out.

Question for the committee: does the COLA formula protect the pension multiplier too, or just base wage?

Base wage rolls into the multiplier, so yes — COLA compounds into pension. Good question, bring it Thursday.
